They say time will tell and show everything,
I thought it was true, I thought fate was adamant.
But as the saying goes and stays true,
Affections grew deeper, and yearnings grew stronger,
Without my consent or knowing, I stayed without noticing,
For a certain someone's restitution, and the appearance of a once familiar situation.

When I Started
It seemed like eternity, this bleak sight.
Then I saw the first light of dawn, drawing me from the darkness and beyond,
And when I started living for myself again, it was refreshing like the first drop of rain.
When I stopped living only for you, it was like the first breath I drew.

Do You?
Preconceived, unfinished, unrefined,
Where does your heart lay? And where does mine?
And like the sun is irrevocably red and the oceans, doubtlessly, blue.
Do you, may I ask, feel the same way about me too?
Where does your heart lay? And where does mine?
And like the sun is irrevocably red and the oceans, doubtlessly, blue.
Do you, may I ask, feel the same way about me too?

It Is What It Is
You do not dictate or define what it is, it is what it originally was.
Why should it be what it is not, embrace it willingly is what it did.
You cared not an ounce when you should have, what right did you earn,
Why should it be concerned or even be aware?
Why should it be what it is not, embrace it willingly is what it did.
You cared not an ounce when you should have, what right did you earn,
Why should it be concerned or even be aware?
